From Manuscript to Platform

Authors

Every author needs more than a book cover online—they need a platform that turns browsers into readers. I design author websites that do the heavy lifting: sharp book presentation, series architecture that scales as the catalog grows, and conversion-focused newsletter capture that builds a launch audience before the next release drops. From debut thrillers to multi-book series, I pair clean design with the digital strategy that keeps readers coming back.

Designed an author website centered on the launch of Reboot, the debut thriller and first book in Bernarducci’s planned “Lost Souls Series,” co-written with USA Today bestselling author Martha I. Finney. The cinematic, single-page site pairs a book trailer, gripping synopsis, and a “read chapter one” hook with reader reviews, retailer links, dual author bios, and social-share tools to build momentum for the series.

Designed an author platform and book pre-launch site for a spiritual entrepreneur and leader of the “spiritual entrepreneurship” movement, promoting his forthcoming book Prosperity Principles: The Four Pillar Plan to Freedom. The site tells his rags-to-riches-to-fulfillment story through a rich, narrative-driven layout, weaving in press quotes and multiple email-capture points to build a launch audience for the book.

Designed an immersive, themed website for author Kevin C. Smith’s YA historical-fiction pirate series, following protagonist William “Echo” Bilge across four action-packed novels set in the golden age of piracy. The site leans into its swashbuckling brand with a “Captain’s Log” blog of pirate history and behind-the-scenes posts, individual book pages, series and compilation buy links, and a newsletter to keep readers hooked between installments.

DepressionFreeMindset.com/

Designed a book-launch landing site for Brett Coleman’s self-help title Depression is NOT Your Destiny, a step-by-step guide drawn from his own recovery from treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The site pairs an empowering, hope-forward message with clear “what you’ll learn” breakdowns, advance reader endorsements, and strong calls to order, while connecting into his broader BFKNBOLD platform and podcast.

https://truetalestwa.com/

Designed a nostalgic, book-promotion website for a nonfiction travel memoir collecting real stories from Trans World Airlines flight attendants during the golden age of flying, authored by Kathy Kompare and Stephanie Johnson. The site captures the glamour of the era through author bios, endorsements from best-selling writers, retailer links, and an extensive captioned vintage photo gallery, while also flagging the book’s availability for film and TV rights.

Designed the official author website for a debut mystery and thriller writer, built around his gritty police-procedural novel The Redemption File and its detective protagonist Brandon Sidney. The site pairs a dark, noir-inflected aesthetic with a compelling book synopsis, author bio, and a benefit-driven “Join the Chase” newsletter designed to convert visitors into a loyal reader community.

Updated site design on a Wix website for a fiction author whose work blends archaeology, history, and mystery, themed around the whimsical conceit of “The Secret Society of The Sense of Smell.” The site invites readers to explore a library of books and blog posts through an immersive, adventure-driven concept, tying in her Amazon catalog and a themed mailing list to build her readership.

Designed an author website for an indie paranormal romance and urban fantasy writer whose tagline is “I write stories about monsters falling in love.” The site organizes her book series and anthologies with playful, on-brand personality, integrating her Amazon catalog, AuthorTube channel, writing resources, and a monthly newsletter to grow and engage her reader community.

Designed the full author website for an award-winning, international best-selling self-help and children’s-lit author, motivational speaker, and podcaster. The site showcases her flagship book It’s Okay Not to be Fabulous Every Day across English and Spanish editions in every format, prominently displays its many literary awards, and drives readers toward her 3k+ subscriber newsletter, speaking bookings, and press.

Designed an author website for a Doctor of Chiropractic turned thriller novelist, spotlighting his medical thrillers The Assignment and Jackpot alongside advance reader reviews and Amazon purchase links. The site pairs a polished, book-forward layout with an author blog and newsletter signup, building his platform and funneling readers toward his catalog.

Where Browsing Becomes Buying

E-Commerce

Selling online is equal parts craft and strategy—the store has to convert, and the brand has to earn loyalty. I build e-commerce experiences that organize products around how people actually shop, weave in the social proof and storytelling that close the sale, and keep the whole thing discoverable through smart SEO. The goal is simple: a store that works as hard as the people behind it.

Refreshed the branding and visual design of an existing Kajabi site for a Ferndale, Michigan school offering Reiki, intuitive healer certifications, and energy-medicine courses led by Reiki Master Donna Lakes. Focused on marketing and advertising support—tightening the brand look and feel and creating ad creative to promote its classes, certifications, and community events.

Provided local SEO support and ongoing site updates for a boutique holistic wellness spa and apothecary in downtown Traverse City, Michigan, offering Ayurvedic treatments, Reiki, sound healing, and handcrafted herbal skincare. Focused on improving the Shopify store’s local search visibility and keeping content, products, and event listings current to drive bookings and foot traffic.

Redesigned the website and provide ongoing SEO and managed support for a publisher of authoritative, illustrated reference books on U.S. military medals, badges, ribbons, and insignia across every branch of service. The refreshed WordPress site organizes an extensive catalog by branch of service and highlights new releases, while ongoing optimization keeps the growing library discoverable to veterans, families, and collectors.

Designed a full Shopify e-commerce store for a patent-pending herbal topicals brand founded by herbalist Bonnie D’Arcangelo, built around its Silicon Plasma Hydrate™ delivery platform and a nationally televised campaign featuring Howie Mandel. The site organizes a broad product line by need and concern—recovery, skin, daily wellness, hair care—and weaves in an extensive video “Experiences” library, founder story, blog, and podcast to drive conversion and community.

Designed a warm, approachable website for a small family-run breeder in Southeast Kansas specializing in English-style Yellow and Fox Red Labrador Retrievers. The site introduces their AKC-registered, health-tested dogs and educates prospective families on the breed, responsible breeding practices, and what to expect from a lifetime commitment to a puppy.

Design That Moves People

Non-Profits

Mission-driven work deserves more than a brochure site—it needs a platform that rallies people to act. I design for non-profits with a clear job in mind: move visitors to volunteer, donate, register, and spread the word. By pairing purposeful design with strategy built around engagement and conversion, I help organizations turn belief into momentum and momentum into measurable support.

Built a community-organizing website for a volunteer-led initiative to transform Ann Arbor’s “Center of the City” lot into a public park and civic center commons. The site rallies residents around a clear “Engage, Explore, Expand” framework, integrating an events calendar, volunteer sign-ups, member registration, donations, and a newsletter into a single grassroots hub.

Designed a mission-driven website for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to growing, preserving, and protecting Michigan’s native medicinal woodland plants like goldenseal and American ginseng. The site pairs an earthy, conservation-focused aesthetic with impact metrics, a focus-species showcase, board profiles, and clear pathways to become a member, volunteer, register a botanical sanctuary, or donate.

Built to Book

Service Providers

For service providers, a website is a working asset—it has to book the appointment, fill the class, and earn trust before the first conversation. I design sites that map services clearly, build credibility fast, and remove every barrier between a prospective client and “yes.” Backed by local SEO and ongoing optimization, these platforms don’t just look the part—they bring the right people through the door.

Designed a professional, trust-building website for Bonnie D’Arcangelo’s clinical herbal medicine practice, presenting evidence-informed phytotherapy services like functional blood analysis, custom herbal formulation, and holistic wellness coaching. The layout organizes a wide range of offerings around the practice’s whole-person philosophy (body, soul, spirit) and guides visitors toward booking a free consultation.

Designed an immersive, e-commerce-enabled website for spiritual life coach Samantha Cardinas, centered on selling a 10-day Morocco yoga and breathwork retreat alongside her coaching offerings. The site blends an evocative, healing-focused aesthetic with practical booking tools—a full day-by-day itinerary, tiered accommodation packages, a photo gallery, and integrated checkout.

Designed a Wix Studio website for trauma-informed somatic wellness practitioner Teresa Napierala, presenting her signature “Triad of Healing” (breathwork, somatic release, and parts work) across one-on-one sessions, workshops, and an online support community. The site combines an emotionally attuned, calming aesthetic with membership features and a resource library, backed by an extensive wall of client testimonials to build trust.

Designed a warm, calming website for a Michigan psychotherapy practice specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, led by therapist Lori Little. The site clearly maps each treatment area and modality (EMDR, EFT, CBT) while making it easy for prospective clients to book a free consultation, access telehealth, or reach the client portal.

Many Ventures, One Home

Creatives

Some clients aren’t one thing—they’re a book, a podcast, a course, a community, and a movement, all at once. For creatives with sprawling online presences, I build the connective tissue: cohesive branding and site architecture that unify every venture without flattening what makes each one distinct. The result is a digital home that makes sense of complexity and guides visitors exactly where they need to go.

Designed and built the website for a mental health advocacy platform and personal brand centered on founder Brett Coleman’s mission of “turning pain into purpose.” The site pairs a bold, high-contrast visual identity with an emotionally resonant layout that ties together his book, podcast, and speaking engagements into a single cohesive hub.

Designed a landing hub for the international best-selling author and motivational speaker, showcasing her award-winning book It’s Okay Not to be Fabulous Every Day across print, audiobook, and Spanish-language editions. The page functions as a central launchpad, funneling visitors to her podcast, newsletter, YouTube channel, and press materials while spotlighting her many literary awards.

Designed a personal hub site for an herbalist and multidisciplinary entrepreneur, unifying her many ventures—an herbal products company, a phytotherapy clinic, a native-plant nonprofit, and a design studio—under one clean, navigable home. The layout gives each project its own clearly branded section, guiding visitors outward to the right business while presenting a cohesive professional identity.

Developed the brand identity and website design for a writing craft academy and storytelling community centered on a distinctive gothic, “tasteful edgelord” aesthetic. The design balances a dark, atmospheric visual tone with clear pathways to the community’s core offerings—craft lessons, critique groups, and its Discord and YouTube channels.
